The Challenge
Eagle Crest Golf Course is a popular public 18-hole course known for its challenging layout, manicured greens, and welcoming atmosphere. The course serves a broad community of golfers, from casual players to competitive tournament participants, and also acts as a hub for social and corporate events. With a reputation for delivering a high-quality playing experience, Eagle Crest had recently invested in facility upgrades, including improvements to its clubhouse and surrounding amenities. Originally fabricated in the 1990s by Huron Sign (now a part of Johnson Sign Co.), the gateway sign had served the course well for decades, but its materials and design no longer reflected the premium image established through the recent upgrades. The leadership team sought to ensure that the course’s visual identity at its main entrance matched the elevated standard experienced throughout the entire property.
The Solution
Johnson Sign Co. partnered with Eagle Crest to develop a new 30 foot monument-style gateway sign designed to both elevate the course’s brand and modernize the signage. The final design featured a cultured stone base that blended naturally with the landscaped entryway and complemented the course’s architecture. Illuminated channel letters and dimensional logos were incorporated, ensuring crisp visibility during the day and at night. In addition, the integration of a full-color Electronic Message Center (EMC) provided dynamic messaging capabilities, giving the course a modern platform to engage members and visitors with timely updates and promotions.
The Result
The success of the gateway sign project not only elevated Eagle Crest’s brand presence but also strengthened our partnership with the course. Impressed by the quality, attention to detail, and seamless execution, Eagle Crest has continued to collaborate with Johnson Sign Co. on additional projects. Our relationship with the course has now spanned decades, during which we have designed and installed two major signs for Eagle Crest and continue to complete supplemental signage and property enhancements. This ongoing collaboration reflects our commitment to providing long-term value and trusted solutions that support their evolving branding needs.
